Saddle up for Partiboi69’s four hours of straight shooting bangers, or head over to Utrecht for a rave in fortresses and bunkers. We’ve gathered the most fun outdoor festivals next to a warehouse-like, massive indoor rave. Are you ready? TicketSwap’s weekly event highlights series THE AGENDA has you covered on the spiciest events across Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Groningen, Eindhoven, and beyond.
Milkshake Festival
Milkshake is best described as glitters and rainbows. The open-minded festival welcomes all who love, and during these three days, Westerpark transforms into a playground for grown-ups. The category is electronic, but styles range from house, disco, and pop to R&B and dancehall. Start your Milkshake weekend right with their ‘grand, hopefully spectacular’ opening night in Gashouder on Friday, or join acts like Bastienne, Byron Yeates, Gayance, Sandrien, Sugababes (!), and Thoms Traxx during the two festival days on Saturday and Sunday.
SMÈRRIG Zomerweekender Festival 2023
Staying in The Netherlands this summer? Smèrrig gives you the feeling like you’re somewhere sunny and tropical this weekend. With the theme being ‘staycation’, the festival layout built around a lake is only fitting. The Flexican, Nikky Adriana, Team Disco Snolly, Jip Disco Trip, and many more play their biggest hits and the biggest hits of their favorite DJs. Dive in!
TEGENDRAADS Festival
Hard techno seems to be the biggest trend in electronic music lately, and this one’s definitely one to visit if you’re all about harder sounds. Lokier brings her industrial and moody techno to the festival, next to scene favorites like Cynthia Spiering b2b DIØN and Sara Landry. The setting is a big warehouse-like building with uncountable lasers and huge screens with visuals, so make sure to bring your raver sunglasses.
Orbit Festival
Orbit has made a name for itself as one of the hottest new Dutch dance festivals. This is only their second edition, but the festival with bunkers, silos, and fortresses in the middle of nature near Utrecht sold out quickly. No wonder with a lineup this stunning: Anz, Carista b2b Josey Rebelle, D. Tiffany, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Job Jobse, Midland, Mama Snake, and many more class acts one day? Orbit knows what’s up.
Fahrenheit Festival 2023
We love a versatile lineup on a festival day. Check out Perdu’s house/italo mix, dance to Malugi’s trance, groove to Bella’s house, or move fast to KETTAMA’s hard house. Fahrenheit is somewhat of a boutique festival; it’s small, intimate, and carefully curated to fit the beach club location.
Rebl City Festival
DJs Outsiders and Darkraver team up to organize their own festival this year, so you know you’re in for something loud. Outsiders lost half of his share of Rebl Festival to Darkraver in a game of rock, paper, scissors, and having been ‘blood brothers’ for years, they both didn’t take this lightly. So, join them and heavyweights like Korsakoff, Partyraiser, and The Viper for a day of hardcore in Breda.
Thuishaven w/ Archie Hamilton & more
Into solid grooves? Head over to Thuishaven on Sunday for a full day of the smoothest, bounciest, and warmest house tracks selected by a few of the hottest names in the game. Archie Hamilton mixes his classic 90s gems and upfront club bangers next to Alisha, Benny Rodrigues, and other selectors. If it’s up to us, there’s no better way to end your weekend than by dancing.
Intercell Outdoor: Partiboi69 pres. Mutual Pleasure
Partiboi69 returns to Intercell Outdoor this Sunday, and if it’s anything like his performance last year, you better get ready. There’s no time for breaks, not even for catching up with friends: this is pure energy on the dancefloor - one banger after another, and then some more. Partiboi69 takes the stage for four hours and invites other ‘bolting horses’ to play some tunes too. Saddle up.
