The concert will feature Miles Davis' iconic pieces, as well as his own compositions that are linked to him in their spirit, sound or experimental attitude. The careers of Lőrinc Barabás and Erik Truffaz intersect at many points with Miles' legacy: the trumpeter's orchestral thinking that started with jazz but constantly expanded it with pop, groove and experimental elements.

Although Miles Davis became a legend as a trumpeter, he actually wrote himself into music history not with his instrument, but with his way of thinking, because he was a grand master of renewal, search and experimentation. A restless creator who was able to turn the music world upside down again and again, and became an inspiration for generations. The Barabás Lőrinc Quartet's latest album, Open, evokes the jazz-rock universe of the 70s - the era that was fulfilled in Miles Davis's albums such as Bitches Brew, Live-Evil or In A Silent Way. This evening is a groovy, experimental, world-expanding musical journey, where past and present, respect and personal voice are present at the same time - in the spirit of Miles Davis.
