DOXYGEN: K sobě s Jiřím Petrbokem, Otto M. Urbanem a Markétou Richterovou

DOXYGEN consists of lectures, workshops, discussions, creative workshops, and everything in between. Contemporary art, contemporary phenomena, contemporary personalities, and the contemporary moment. Evening gatherings at DOX, during which visitors can ponder questions and answers. Their own and those of others.

For most of us, breathing and movement are automatic and taken for granted, yet they are closely linked to our psyche, emotions, and the way we experience our own bodies. DOXYGEN, in conjunction with the exhibition Jiří Petrbok: Patient’s Diary, will focus on breath as a means of concentration, calm, and intense perception of oneself and the surrounding world.

Artist Jiří Petrbok will guide visitors through the exhibition in conversation with curator Otto M. Urban, exploring the themes of vulnerability and physicality that permeate the exhibition. The guided tour will be followed by a workshop with Markéta Richterová focused on breathing and movement techniques based on the Feldenkrais Method and designed to promote body awareness. The program is loosely inspired by moments when Jiří Petrbok used intensive breathwork as part of his creative process and as a way to enter other planes of experience and imagination.

For young people aged 16 to 30. The program lasts approximately 2.5 hours and includes a guided tour, lecture, and break.
